:hissy: I don't know what to do any longer. We've had problems getting Hannah to eat enough for months now so that's not really all that shocking. But lately getting her to eat more than 3 ounces is just awful! Today she's had a grand total of 5 ounces! It's now 12:15 and she got up at 6:40!! She did have a little cereal (with 2 ounces of formula) but even before the cereal in the mornings we were having problems. We've tried feeding her at different times. Letting her tell us when she's hungry, timed feedings. Nothing's helping! I've even tried sippy cups which might get an extra ounce down her, on a good day. If it weren't for her night feeds she'd be under 10 ounces a day!! With those she's around 18! :hissy: :hissy: Any suggestions? Would you worry? Would you take her to the doctor (it could just be teething but it's been going on for a while now!) or would you ride it out and see if it improves in the next few days???

Ruby did the same when she is teething. Im sure she will start taking more again soon xx

thanks! It's just so worrying  Would you give cooled boiled water to try to keep fluid levels up?

how long has she been like this? whats her weight gain been like over the past 8 weeks?

h x

She's never had problems gaining weight, always gained really well. Last time we went in was in December and she'd gained a pound or so from a month prior.

And about a week I'd say really bad, before that it was just a day here and there

id go and get her weighed and see what the gain has been like over the past month, mention it to your hv to see what they think, offer her water or juice to keep her hydrated, keep track of what she has eaten on a daily basis and then get her weighed a week later....if her weight gain is ok then ask the doctor, she may just be going through a little phase, my nephew was the same hed hardly take anything, he gained weight though so the hv said give him food when he wants it

good luck

As long as her weight is ok I wouldn't worry... Once they start eating solids they may drop some formula feeds. You can give her water, and at her age you can even start adding a bit of apple juice to the water if she wont drink it plain. My doctor told me at Jasmines age she could have as much water as she would drink and it would not hurt her.

Caitlyn's been like this lately. It's weird because my friends baby Charlie has also gone way off his milk. It makes me worry that it's the milk!!

I've posted the same a few days ago... Josh doesn't want formula anymore. I'm quite worried, but Josh is teething so it may be that too. Hope she starts drinking more soon hun xxx

ps: I would try and keep her fluid levels up!! x

Thanks everyone! She ate a good bottle this afternoon and than I gave her some cool boiled water which she LOVED! So will keep giving that to her I think
