I seriously can't even change my 8 month old son's diaper. He tries to roll to his tummy, kicks his legs and screams bloody murder!
Anyone else dealing with this??

Me! My 5-month-old doesn't scream, but he does kick and roll almost every time I try to put a diaper on him. It is hard to get a good fit with all his squirming! Also, I have to make sure I have a good hold on his feet or he will smash the heel of his foot right into the poopy diaper.

Yup. Everyday. Every time. Something for him to hold sort of helps, sometimes anyway. I have to change him on the floor and I usually have to drape a leg across him to keep him still. Getting clothes on is another nightmare. At 11 months it isn't getting any better. Hope it's a short phase for you.

Our twin boys hated diaper changes, too. We've had luck making it more pleasant by singing and trying to make them laugh before changing the diaper. They quickly associated diaper changes with having fun, and that has made it a much more pleasant experience. I hope it helps!

My daughter is just the same when she started getting up from lay down around 9 months then crawling at 10 months it became so hard to entertain her now at 16 months it hasn't got any easier. I usually end up changing her stood up holding a toy she happily Co - operates with that when it's a dirty one I lay her down just to clean her up and stand to put on new nappy but most times it results in screaming/kicking/wriggling. We have also changed to pampers easy ups which helped alot as I found getting the tabs done up on her new nappy almost impossible.

Have you tried a more upright approach? Sometimes I'll squat down, lay the diaper across my leg, and then sit Leo on top of it and close it up that way. You can also do it while sitting.

I've found that doing an "all done" sign helps. And definitely something that is distracting in their hands, but not something they can normally have. And if my husband or someone else is around one pins him down and distracts hum while the other does the diaper changing.

Yes! It was a bit of a nightmare! I switched to pull up nappies, because to hold him down to stick the tabs down were impossible. Plus he started to stand, so it was handy as I could put his feet through the holes and as he rolled over pulled them up over his bum.

It made it less of a fight at nappy change time anyway. I used to resort to giving him my phone to hold and turn the front facing camera on, but even that stopped keeping him distracted at one point.

I just give him anything to hold I hopes it keeps him still long enough to clean him up and then at least the pull ups are easier to get on!
