due date today and heavy plug loss but body is otherwise NOT ready to give birth boo!

Had a big gush. couldn't believe my luck after trickling for days i thought wahoo due date baby its our lucky day. went to get checked. cervix closed & far back, he's only 1/5th engaged.... i am nowhere near am i! only positive thing was heavy mucus plug loss which continues now, from my CLOSED cervix which is 2cm thick not at all thinned or easily reachable. Rant over.

1/5th is very engaged. 1/5th is how much head you can feel so if your 1/5th then its pretty much buried in there which is great. Hopefully wont be long now. Fingers crossed!!! X

oh no she said i can feel loads of head and wrote down 4/5ths so i just put it as 1/5th on here so frustrating wish i hadnt of needed to get checked today. and the plug wont stop gushing just to get more frustrating. thankyou though

Don't stress out too much, it's amazing how fast it can change

All that could change in a matter of hours hon! Once contractions start they work quickly!

Also a baby doesn't have to be engaged for labour to start - some babies don't engage until the contractions begin.
