UPDATE PG3........anyone had 5 or more sections, im having my 5th in aug!

I am having my 4th. I was contemplating if I should have a 5th. I don't know, I have put myself down to get sterilised because consultant was saying it gets more riskier the more sections you have. I am trying to stick to my decision with going ahead for sterilisation but when I hear about courageous ladies like yourself, It gets me thinking if I am making the right decision.
Best of luck with your section x

Im gonna be delivered at 37 weeks and I being kept a close eye on, any scar pains I have to get check out, I was delivered at 37 weeks with number 4 too, im gonna be sterilised this times I dont want to chance any more sections, I also have placenta previa this time so this scares me alittle, thanks for your reply xx

I will be having my third c section next month.

How long did your fourth and fifth c section take to do?

My c section with my Daughter took longer than with my Son as they said I had alot of scar tissue. But otherwise both operations went well x

My third c-section also took a little longer. I could feel alot more tugging and pulling with my third in comparison to my first and second. Best of luck sunshine with your section. What doe we ladies have to go through sometimes! x

Hi I had my 5th c-section 9weeks ago everything went fine they was worried but had everything ready incase I needed it but was just the same as my last one bit more sore because I had tubal at same time any question feel free to ask xx

wow am i glad to read this, i thought i was the only one lol! ive just found out im preg with my 5th, have had 2 emergancy, and 2 elective
ive put a post about this on just now. i must say my 4th was the best out of them all :) quick easy and the least blood loss too.

look forward to chatting to you!

xxxx

ive just added you to my contacts i hope you dont mind. just so i can keep updated with your journey, i dont know anyone else having there 5th xx

hi im so pleased to see someone else too lol, im being delivered at 37 weeks the same as my 4th, i have found i seem to be up and about quicker with each one, whether its my body getting use to it i dont know, everything has been ok so far, but its everyones faces that scare me when i say its gonna be my 5th c section, they have told me if i have any scar pain or and worries to let them know straight away, i have a little feeling bubba might end up coming earlier than the 37 weeks, because i seem to be getting very big very quick, bubba is not measuring big though. Im being sterilized this time, they have warned be i might bleed lots and need a hysterectomy but im all ready for that, i have placenta previa too, how many weeks are you xxx

hi embri can i ask how many weeks was you when u delivered xx

im only 6 weeks ish, but unsure because ive been on the pill so will find out at the scan!
yes peoples faces and reactions frighten me so much, im like come on it isnt that bad is it? lol but deap down i know im going to be in safe hands. when i went into the room where they get you ready and do the canular and spinal etc i said im so scared please dont let me die i want to see my children again, and they laughed and said oh dont me silly we done a 7th section the other day...multipul sections 5 or more are so common now! the senior consultant told me that she had only had to do two emergancy hystorectamys in 20 yrs, so its pretty rare for it to 'go wronge'
anyway i hope all, goes ok for us, im sure it will! are you having a girl or boy? or suprise xxxx

Yep i sure we will be ok, as i say its everyone elses face that scares me, lol and the stupid comments like "is this your first" and i say "no 5th" and they are like "oh rather you than me" well thanks for that lol some people are so rude, im having a little boy he is gonna be Harry James, are you from the uk ???

aww harry james lovely name! yes i get blimey, you have a hectic life, im like yes i know but if i didnt want a hectic life i wouldnt have had 4 kids lol!
yes im in the uk. are you? xxx

yep me too, i asked because i wasnt sure if you were from america and i know things regarding sections are different over there, so what do you already have and what are there names, what would you like this time a girl or boy, i was secretly hoping for another boy as my youngest ollie is a boy and i still have quite alot of his bits and thought it would be good as they can share a room etc xx

yeah it is diff in other countrys. i live in norfolk at the min but moving down to stevenage in august! where abouts are you? maybe i would get my section earlier down south, i have had mine at nearly term everytime..they wont do it earler here :(
i have 3 boys rylie 7 alex 6 owen 4 and a girlie (finally) 17months called lillie-ella.
i would like a little girl for lillie-ella to play with but i honestly dont mind at all will be happy with a healthy baby. im having a suprise this time :)
xxxx

Im from surrey and yes they didnt want me going into labour so they done ollies at 37 weeks and r gonna do the same this time, fingers crossed u have a little girl xxx

Ladies, I have put myself down for sterilisation but i really don't know if I should go ahead with it. i have three girls and i think this one is also a girl due to what I saw at the 20 week scan. I would have loved to have a boy, so I don't know if I should go ahead with the sterilisation or not. I also feel a bit frightened having a fifth section. Even this time round i feel something might go wrong. But after reading your comments about surgeons doing seventh sections I feel a bit better. If i go ahead with my sterilisation I might feel bad after, I don't know what to do!

Dont do it, if u have any doubt dont do it, I kinda knew wen I was having my forth that I might go in for one more, but this time I know that this is it. Xx

Thankyou Baby5hopeful, next time I see the midwife that I feel gives her true opinion, i will have a talk with her. I don't know when I'll see her. Sometimes there are different midwives on which don't really help. Have you got a date for your section? I see on your ticker that you are only a week ahead of me.

Thank you Baby321. I would say opt out if you are having doubts, you could have it done at a later date when you are certain :hugs: x
