Early teething tips?

Kiara is 4 months now and we think shes starting to teeth...
She'll be sleeping and suddenly wake up screaming
Has anyone got any ideas on how i can help her cope with it?
I don't want to be giving her capol everynight for the pain.

i use teething gel to rub on her gums and then put her dummy in, it seems to pacify her for abit, if you find out any other way please let me know, it is arwfull watching and listening to them in pain is'nt it.

i do know what you mean about giving her calpol all the time. i dont like doin it either.
