Thought I would start a thread in anticipation for tomorrow for us to see what we and our kids get for easter tomorrow. Im a bit disapointed as the present I got OH hasnt arrived in time, but when I told him this his response was 'I didnt think we were bothing to get each other anything this year' So I guess that means I have nowt, even though I have also got him a couple of eggs hidden away.

Still no doubt Noah will be bought a load of inapropriate eggs which we will have to eat anyway. It does anoy me how no matter what I say my mum and OHs mum insist on keep buying him chocolate everytime they see him! once my mum told me how when she looked after him she gave him smarties!!! Still I have made it very clear she is NEVER to feed him smarties again!!!!
Still my SIL had the cleaverest friend who when she visited to see her and my niece, bought her a milky bar as a treat . . . .

. . . my niece was only 3 months old!!!! :dohh:

Seren got a bunny and bunny shaped gingerbread biscuit from the Easter bunny. She has also been bought loads of eggs - its hard to say to people not to buy her anything so I will just eat them - oh the sacrifices I have to make hey ;)

I'm with you on this one Weestar. I'm not religious so Easter has no significance for me and I'm not into chocolate either (I know, I'm a strange woman). The thought of an Easter Egg sized amount of chocolate makes me want to barf!

im 'sypposed' to be a catholic well that was how i was dreagged up and when i left home i chose not to believe in any of it  I think it is all just about money dow a days, i know this is going off the topic and dont want to sound evil but BIL step kids are so ungreatfull and they say they are too big for an easter egg 1 aged 14 and other age 11 and they expect to be given £10 each so i thought no way!! so last year they got £3 each and it wasnt the fact i gave them the money and not an egg it was the fact i got no thanks for it at all, and they didnt buy adele anything, i know you dont give to recieve ect but i hate ungreatfull kids, so this year they got nothing :muaha:

Good for you Weestar....I am sorry but I think there is a time when kids get too big for eggs, but in my book they get nothing and should not expect anything either!! Otherwise, where/when does it stop?!
