eBay/PayPal Question

I'll try to keep this simple, but need a bit of help please

I've just sold a really large, heavy item on eBay for just over £100. It was listed as collection only, and I specified that I'd prefer cash on collection... However, the buyer has already paid by Paypal. I've read loads online about buyers paying by Paypal, collecting an item, and then claiming they haven't had it and having their money refunded to them by Paypal.

I know I'm not covered by Seller Protection if I don't send it out via a tracked service, but it's simply far too big to be couriered. The buyer has quite a bit of feedback, and isn't a new user, but I'm worried!

What can I do?

Could you message them and just say that you would prefer cash and give them a refund?

Get someone upstairs to photograph the buyer taking the item away???

take a photo of the buyer with the item. or message them & say you want COC and will refund them. xx

I hate it when people ignore the listing!! Good advice from pp I would just do that x

It's annoying huh? I listed a different item as collection only a little while ago, and the buyer wanted me to wait in all day for a courier to collect it, as well as packaging it up for her - I wasn't impressed! I'd listed it as collection only as I hadn't wanted to wait in!

Yeah I'd defo message and ask for cash on collection, not worth the risk Good luck xx

Draw up a receipt stipulating item, price and any key info like serial number or whatever on item.

Write sentence with words to effect of payment received via paypal on <date> and item collected by buyer <name> on <date>.

Write a sentence with words to the effect of item sold as seen and signed receipt is confirmation the buyer is satisfied with the item.

Have spaces allocated for them to print name, sign and date and for you to do same.
