I had a very, very faint positive pregnancy test on October 31st at about 10/11 dpo. It showed up within the 10 minute time limit and to verify it I took another test of the same brand. Again, a very faint line within the 10 minute time limit. I retested on November 2nd and the line was still there but looked maybe a tiny bit lighter. Tested one last time on November 4th and it was pretty much negative, just a tiny bit of dye stuck to the line. At first I thought it was a chemical. However I've never started bleeding yet so now I'm starting to wonder if it is not ectopic. For one thing, I conceived on the mini pill and in the instructions it says that you have a higher chance of ectopic if you conceive on it. For another, I've been having a radiating pain around the area of my left hip bone. I've also had pain in my shoulder around my shoulder blade area. I read online that if it was ectopic you could have shoulder tip pain. Is that what they consider the "shoulder tip"? I will be going to the doctor... I'm just wondering in the meantime what others experiences were with ectopic. Did your pregnancy tests get darker or did they stay the same or eventually go negative?

I recently had an early miscarriage where my test line was at one point same as control line but not darker then the tests seemed to get lighter by the days until all the hcg dropped which now they are negative. Maybe you had an early miscarriage.

It sounds like a chemical to me. Some women do not bleed for some time after a chemical. Chemical occur with high frequency after the mini pill. I would certainly check into it, but I would suspect a chemical over an ectopic.

I will surely check into it. Today marks 5 weeks without a period. I've had three miscarriages previously so I know what to expect of those but this is a bit different. I can't figure out where this shoulder pain came from. I wasn't in a car accident or anything and I haven't done any exercises that should have injured my shoulder so I can't explain the pain, which is why I thought to ask since I've never had an ectopic before. Also the pinching pains in my ovary area are a lot more intense than the corpus luteum cysts I've had in previous pregnancies.
