I don't know much about being in the military but there's no way I could have gone back to work after only 6 weeks and working such long days. If you wanted to breastfeed too it takes around 8 weeks of intense feeding until supply is established. Good luck with whatever you decide

I totally agree with you hun, if you can financially manage elsewhere then that is what I would do as you can't get that time back, plus breastfeeding and a newborn really takes it's toll in the first few weeks so you will be exhausted working all them hours too which is not good for your health x

I'm trying to separate too and I'm doing it all on VMPF and they need a "justification". What did you put as a justification and any other helpful tips or info on this. Do you get terminal leave or house hunting time or money?

I am 12 weeks, AD military and OS. i am trying to get out also...Did you find any problems with AFPC approving your sep? I am concerned, because I have been told I might not get to separate.

I'm in the AF reserve, and my unit is 2.5 hours away. So, once a month I stay on base friday night and saturday night, and return home sunday evening after drill. I'm due in october and i'm wondering if i should seperate. The main reason I joined was school money. But my civilian job offers 100% tuition repayment so it really doesn't matter now. Just seems like more of a hassle to drive there, stay all weekend, and come back for my little E-1 checks. Plus working civilian, and being in school, It seems like alot, and my boyfriend isn't estatic about me always having to leave. What should I do?

I put in an application for this and requested 15June as my new DOS. I'm due 1July and didn't realize that there might be problems with leave. I have 60 days of leave right now, am I going to have to sell the leave, or if my application is approved, can I outprocess then just be on 'terminal leave', even if that would go past the new date of separation that I requested?

Hi! I put my separation application in last month and now just waiting for the response. I hate the waiting part! how long did it take for you to hear something back on approval or disapproval? Also were you able to keep the org date you picked or did they change it for you? Thanks.
