Eeek! Wish me luck! EDIT: WE MADE IT!

Me and my dad have officially started our 22 hour road trip to get me back home! Eeeek!! Lilly is fast asleep right now and I'm hoping it stays that way! I'm so nervous, the longest we've ever driven with her was only one hour!
I'm just ready to get home and see my husband in six days!!!!

okay ladies, well we didn't get too far last night. We drove about ten hours but had to stop in Louisiana because it started POURING rain! We could barely see in front of us so we decided that was it, we didn't want to risk driving in it especially with a baby so we stopped and got a hotel for the night. We have about 12 more hours to go and think were gonna drive the whole rest of the way today.

Lilly has been AMAZING! she slept the ENTIRE time yesterday only waking up to eat. I thought since she had been sleeping all day she wouldn't sleep at night but omg she only woke up ONE TIME! if any of you had read my earlier thread she wakes up every 2-3 hours at night!
And so far today in the car she hasn't slept the entire time (but still a lot) but when she's awake she is soooo good. She just stays quiet and plays with her little carseat toy. (It's so cute!)

I am so proud of her, I was so nervous this trip would be a complete disaster with her but she's done so well! I have the best baby.

Thanks for your best wishes, I will update more later! (Lilly is actually crying now, after I went on and on about how well she's been doing, LOL!)

Yes, he is in the army, and I will tell him you said that.

WE MADE IT!! Lilly hardly slept much in the car yesterday (we were in the car for fifteen hours! ) but she wasn't bad at all. There was a point when we stopped for food when all hell broke loose with her and she screamed her little head off for fifteen minutes! I cried with her cause I just didn't know what was wrong with her! After that we stopped a lot more to get her out and let her stretch out and just be out of the carseat for awhile. After her screaming fit she did really good. We got to our destination at about 9:30pm and were totally exhausted. We all three just klonked out.
It is now 9:30am here and Lilly is still asleep whereas she usually wakes anywhere from 6:30am-7:30am. (But she did go back to waking every 2-3 hours last night.)

I'm just glad to finally be here! And hubby gets home in four days!!!!

Glad you made it there all safe and sound. And sounds to me that you LO behaved very well on the whole, considering that it must have been streneous to be in that carseat so long. So hats off to Miss Lilly
