Ella or Elodie

i have a tradition in my family that all the girls have the middle name eva after my grandma and bf doesn't like this name so we compromised and he chose one aswell so her middle names are going to be eva and tara surname will be storah. i'm going to call her ella but i don't know if it really flows well so i thought elodie would sound better and call her ella for short. i like both names but when i've said elodie to a few people they weren't keen so just wanted some opinions. thanks x

Elodie is a unique name that I haven't heard before. I am not too keen on it, but in the end it is your choice.

Have you thought of maybe
Melodie or Eloise, that way you can still use Ella as a nickname.

Ella and Elodie are both cute, if you want to use the nn Ella, we have a dd whose name is Eliana and her nickname is Ella (amongst others, lol). Just an idea. Good luck!

DD was very nearly Elodie (pronounced the French way though) but everyone I spoke to didn't like it, I still love it now though so maybe for the next

I love Elodie, and you can always still use Ella as a nickname or Lo which is quite cute. I was really keen on Elodie for our LO, but have decided that it doesn't really go with Edwards as the surname! Too many Es and Ds in the mix.

Seperately they are all very pretty names -- but IMO sound very disconnected & don't flow together as one name... maybe since they are all two-syllables & all end in an "A" sound...
