Not sure if this is the right section for this but if not can admin move please.

Last night my husband & I had sex, the condom burst and we didn't realise until we were finished. Que hysterical breakdown from me. As you can tell by my tracker my son is only 3 months old. I am beyond panicked. I went today and took the emergency contraceptive levonelle at about 12pm, roughly 12 hours after the accident.
I'm completely beside myself, this was the exact same time that I fell preg last year like literally within days & I worry that this is a sign I will get pregnant again. This would also mean there would be a year between my son & a possible other baby.

i know I'm at my most fertile due to various symptoms- lots of discharge, very wet (sorry tmi) & feeling VERY in the mood.

My question is have any of u taken levonelle & did it work even though it was your most fertile time? Another reason I'm panicking is because I come from a super fertile family, I've had unprotected sex once in my life & I got pregnant with my DS. My mum fell preg with me using a condom & also another time (she later miscarried) using a condom & the morning after pill. Any advice on how to get through the next few weeks waiting. I feel like I can't even enjoy anything Christmassy.

I am so sorry if this offends anyone who is trying for a baby, I would love another child in the future but I am not ready just now.

Thanks for any advice x

Obviously it just depends hun. Sorry. All I can is try not to worrry right now- just put a pin in it and know that what's done is done. You'll know one way soon enough. Maybe just focus on your LO and hubby and Chrismas right now to take your mind off it? I know it's much easier said than done!

The morning after pills work pretty well- although there is no guarantee, you took it as soon as you could (so that will lessen your odds of pregnancy).

Once you know for sure- maybe look into the BCP or other contraceptions to help ease your mind? I was on the BCP after LO and kept forgetting to take it (talk about mommy brain)- and we don't want any more kids. So after a couple negative tests- I got the IUD! Least I don't have to think about it for 5 more years!

:hugs:

Thank you for replying! I am feeling better now I have just taken the mindset that if it's meant to be, it's meant to be!!
I'm trying to look forward to Christmas now.
I have been on bc pills before but they make me crazy & I feel so much better off them, I definitely will think about an iud because I don't think it has as bad an effect on the body & hormones etc :)
Thanks again xx

Of course hun- I'd bet just getting it out helped. Least it usually does for me! ha.

Wishing you all the best and a lovely Holiday :)

BTW- I didn't have bad affects from the pill, but friends who did that got the IUD were totally fine. So yes, it's quit different.
