Epau wont test progesterone?

Hi all,

I'm 5wk5d & currently being monitored at epau. After 2 m/c and 2 chemicals I asked if they would test my progesterone but they said no, is this normal? Wondering is it harmful to use non prescription creams? I had my progesterone tested couple of years ago when I had day 21 bloods done & all was fine so does that suggest my levels will be fine in pregnancy?

Any advice will be much appreciated x

Hi, I've had 4 mc and have only had my progesterone tested by recurrent miscarriage clinic in relation to follicular phase of cycle, and then during this pregnancy when an early scan didn't detect a sac, which I assume was to gauge likelihood of ectopic. It's never been mentioned to me that they'd monitor progesterone as standard during early pregnancy - I wonder if it depends on the characteristics of your previous losses...

FWIW I have had 2 chemical pregnancies and two missed miscarriages measuring 8/9 weeks. My progesterone was fine when they took my blood last week.

Do you temp? Progesterone causes temp rise after ov and keeps in high during preg. I am not sure how good an inidcator that would be but worth looking into maybe?

Did you have a scan? Hope you are ok xxx

Guess I'll just have to hope its ok. I don't temp
either. I know at beginning of my fertility investigations I had my blood took after ovulation & my levels were fine then so hopefully that's a good sign. Yes I had my scan sac and yolk was seen but no hb but I was only 5w4d and she said its perfectly normal to not see it till few days later she said the sac was measuring right so have a rescan in the 1st of July.. So counting the days again!! When is your next scan? xx

Thursday, but they could not confirm anything on mine (I was 4w4d), just sac-like structures. Have more or less convinced myself it will be bad news now

Are you getting normal symptoms? I think that's a good sign xxx

Aww try not to worry I had my first u/s at 4wk2d n nothing was seen. Hope thursday comes quickly for you.

My bbs are sore,fuller & veins are more prominent. I'm struggling to sleep which is not like me lol!! & I've had mild cramps since 4 n half week but yesterday they were quite strong n I started to panic but my evening I was fine & no bleeding so keeping my fingers crossed. Wish I could sleep to 12 week!! x
