Well, she is here. At 38+4 (21/03/12) I woke up as normal, having my morning coffee before thinking about getting Kyle up for school, started having BH every 10 minutes (6am),they started becoming more frequent....every 5 mins,so hubby had gotten up to go to work & I told him I think you should stay home today:happydance:

During this I started leaking pinkish fluid, not gushing just there on panty liner so I called L&D,she asked if I wanted to go in,but felt ok and told her I would go have a shower & see how things ride out:dohh: Went into the shower & BAM,the pains started to get intense,so OH called my mom to come round as Kyle was still in bed, then he called L&D and told them we were coming in.

So at 7.30am,off we went to hospital (5min drive), pains were really intense.
Was met at the door by midwife who had a wheelchair who whisked me into a room, midwife took one look and said we will have a baby by 8am:wacko:....WHAT!!!

No time for drugs, a few puffs of gas and air, 3 contractions of pushing and Erin Kristina was born weighing 7lb 12oz at 8.12am (40 min labour)

I didn`t need stitched, just grazed:thumbup: Yeah for second labours, although I went into shock it was so quick, couldn`t stop shaking for about an hour.

We are finally home now,and she is doing fantastic. :happydance::happydance:

Good Luck to you all about to have your babies....they are so worth it:flow:

Congratulations!! :) I am new to TTC our first baby and love reading birth stories and seeing the difference between drugs vs no drugs. Cant wait to see pics :)

Oh wow...if only all births could be that quick.

Congrats on your little girl. xx

Congratulations! I'm expecting my second before long and really hoping for a similar experience. Thanks for giving me hope! Just curious, how long was your first labor?
