Error Message when trying to change avatar

I have tried to change my avatar twice now in the past 24 hours but keep getting this message:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

The image you are trying to upload is too big. You will need to reduce the size and try again.

If my image is too big I usually have it on facebook so I download it from there and use that because the size is much smaller xx
