Ewcm? Can I get excited?

Please help me interpret: (newbie here)
I've been temping for about two weeks. Week one was my af and week two has been waiting to O. My temps have been between 97.7 and 97.3. Is that a normal swing? 97.7 was during the beginning of af and then it was mostly 97.3 this week but today was 97.6. Is that a big jump? Have no clue.
I've never monitored cm before this month either. Yesterday I thought I had a bit of ewcm or at least stretchy. Today it definitively seems like ewcm! Makes me excited. I've been taking IC opk's for about 4 days and the line has gone from barely visible to about half as dark as the control line yesterday. I will test this afternoon. I may test with a cheapie and then a digital when I get home. My DH and I Bd'd 3 days ago and yesterday. I planned to do every other day but with the ewcm I'm getting excited and maybe should do every day?
Can someone tell me if I should be excited? This is the first time I'm noticing the 'normal' signs. I hope I really do ovulate! (Am 33 and TTC #1 on cycle 2)

Yes, the range you're talking about is pretty normal. And no, I wouldn't say the jump between 97.3 and 97.6 is too huge of a jump. Mine does that pretty commonly. From your OPK's and the beginnings of EWCM, I'd say you're probably gearing up to ovulate within the next few days. I'd at least BD every other day from this point forward. Good luck and baby dust!

Btw, in order to start getting an idea of what's normal for temping, I'd recommend stalking other people's charts. I do it all the time.

Got my smiley face in the digital opk! Yay! We did the bd three of the last four days and will keep going. I hope I get a real temp spike in the next few days to confirm ovulation. I've never know for sure if I do or not.

I can imagine. The one good thing about where we are in the process is that the Dr. tells me when I ovulate!!!
