EWCM- on again, off again?

Hey ladies,

I have never had this happen before. I am pretty sure I O'd two days ago. Major EWCM.. first month I didn't use an OPK (drat!). My EWCM dried up completely yesterday, but today it is back with a vengeance!

Is it possible I just didn't O when I thought I did? Or could my body be TRYING to ovlulate with no success? Or is it normal for EWCM to come and go this soon after ovulation? Think DH and I should BD tonight, just to be "safe"?

I've been wondering this, too, the last few days. I'm on cd21 but yesterday and the day before yesterday I had ewcm. I'm not 100% sure when I ovulate because I don't temp or use OPKs but my cycles are regularly either 28 days or 30 days so if I didn't OV until cd 19 or 20, that seems really late to me.

No idea because I keep getting tons of EWCM and not even a hint of a positive OPK! Do you chart?

I don't chart. I tried to chart for a couple months, but I found it to be too difficult to make sure I temped at the same time every morning. Several mornings I would "lose" my temp by hitting the recall button on my BT before I had my glasses on or light on! Ha!

EWCM has dried up again. *shrug*

It's possible something stressful happened and your body was all geared up to ovulate than didn't. Then it tried again. It happens some months. Just keep DTD-ing while you think you might have a chance.

I have this every month but I only check what comes out on the tissue paper. I usually get a +opk on the 2nd big lot of ewcm but it could also be that your body did try to ovulate... didn;t then tried again. Everyone is different. It onyl really made sense to me after a few months of charting with temps, opk and cm to see it had a pattern to it. x

I live close to your place. I am also in the same boat as you.
I have a very less bleeding when I menstruate maximum of 3 days. I have lot of pain
though on the previous day and the day of menstruation. So when I got an ultrasound I have fibroids (not too big to get worried) in my uterus and small ovarian cysts.

I have been trying the EWCM method this month. I hope it works and if not I will be really upset.

I have very long cycles (75+ days) and I will often get ewcm a few times throughout my cycle. I don't know why, but it's almost always that way. I know thats not really helpful to you, but it's not totally unheard of to have it come and go.

Im a major obsessive charter/OPK user because I ovulate all over the place with 20-40 day cycles. I've noticed in the last 4 months that I have EWCM a good week before I ovulate, and then sometimes after ovulation. Sorry of that's not very helpful, but I think it can go either way!
