ex IUD users - advice needed please

Hi ladies had my coil (merina) Thursday last week started bleeding this morning I wondered if this was the first day of my cycle or to do with the coil removal? Any info gladly received.

Did you have it removed last week? I could be the start of a first cycle or just your body adjusting.

You could wait till next month then you'll know for definate but no harm in now just incase!!

I'm not much help as when I had my coil removed my Dr put me on the pill 4 weeks before she removed it so I wouldn't start my period on my wedding day/honeymoon. So I didn't have one till i stopped the pill 3months later

Just to add, when i stopped taking the pill my period didn't come and loads off people told me it was an effect of stopping contraception and it takes a while to get back into a system.

Turns out it was because I got pregnant straight away! So thats why I said keep DTD as you never know you might catch that first egg early xx

Not sure if this helps...I had my IUD removed in September and was pregnant in December. We didn't reallly try in October and my cycle was a little wonky that month. November I think our timing was off and we got pregnant December and I got my BFP in January. All in all it took no time at all and very little effort.

hi i had my mirena coil removed 5th oct i bled for 2 weeks and was 5 weeks pregnant by boxing day !!! xx but just do things in your time dont rush things good luck xx
