Excited for labor?

Is it weird to be this excited for a birth? I had a stressful nothing went as planned hospital birth with my son (pprom, etc) and this time things are going pretty smoothly so planning on a nice safe calm home birth.

I'm not scared, I'm not worried about anything, not afraid of labor pains.... I'm actually looking forward to it! I can't wait to have my body do what it was designed to do, ya know?

Due at the end of Dec/early Jan so will have Christmas lights still up, gonna get some lavender smelling candles and make a relaxing music playlist. Gonna be nice.

Anyone feeling the same? Or am I just a delusional nutter haha?

I'm actually in the exact same position as you are, I had an awful first birth experience with DD, but things are different for me this time, much different, I'm also much more educated than I was last time and have a much better support team with a midwife who will be guiding me though it all, so I am really excited for labor to finally start. I am slightly worried about possible complications that occurred during my first labor, but I'm not worried about the pain at all, I'm just so ready for it to start so I can experience it all again without the use of meds I"m sure that make me sound crazy to some, but oh well, no use in fearing labor, that won't help me any, I think a positive attitude will only add to a better experience.

Yeah I feel the same I'm hopeful for another short birth and feeling really happy in my home birth decision, I know if I can get in the water again I will be fine, my only worry is I am actually less open minded this time so if something does go off course I'm worried how this will affect me mentally. But right now I am thinking positive, I'm hoping to give birth in the living room with Christmas lights on, yankee candle burning and This Morning on the TV haha.

I'm totally excited for birth! I'm also on BabyCenter.ca and there are so many posts about how they're terrified (I mean almost phobia scared) of birth...I try to be reassuring but even with my first I wasn't scared so it's hard to relate. lol Everyone is finding out the gender and we're not and I'm finding that is part of what is exciting me for giving birth!

I had a wonderful HB experience. And if I get pregnant again I'll definitely be looking forward to labour and birth. Not saying parts of it were not hard but it was one of the best experiences of my life.

I'm excited! I was last time too though.
It went really well for me last time and I'm hoping it'll be the same this time. And hopefully I'll be able to have the water birth I wanted with DD but couldn't. I just find it all so exciting haha. Everyone I tell thinks I'm mad
