First round of letrozole. I'm going on a hen do this weekend, right around implantation time, assuming the wee bean has met with swimmers.

I'm really nervous about drinking incase it affects chances of implantation can't find much on the old internet regarding this but I'd rather play safe but I'm struggling to come up with a sensible excuss not to drink.

MIL is driving - which bombs out the "I'm driving idea"

My only other thought is to skip the lunch and drive myself, which gives me an excuss to limit my drinking "If I leave late the I get more time with DS in the morning which also means I'm free to leave early the next day and see DS"

This is a good question. I am always trying to think up good excuses month and after month. You could always use the good ole' "I have a headache" one, since we know that drinking with a headache just makes things worse. Or else, have 'a drink' but make sure that the alcohol content on the one you choose is very little.

Also, if its at a bar, you could order a diet coke and then tell people its a rum and coke - who would know the difference? I've done that on occassion where I say I have a vodka/7 but its really only 7-up (caffeine free too which is great!)

Good Luck!

I think it's most likely to be table service or rounds so not easy to do the coke without the vodka.
Was considering trying to cut alcohol to loose weight.

Tbh I ain't looking forward to it.

Another tip - always ask for ice and a slice - that makes the drink look alcoholic too. Or if you can face the questions, say you're on antibiotics or something. The other thing I said the other day was that I was having a 'dry July' (think of another name for August!) Dont drink just to make others feel comfortable. Stick to your guns. Good luck!
Look forward to the other tips from other ttc-ers out there!

I also used "antibiotics" and "headache" excuses a few times already, most recently announced at work that i decided to become healthy and cut down on alcohol, I do not think people believed me and probably think I am pregnant, I only wish it was true...

any other excuses?

I ended up sitting with the same glass of wine all night. Tbh it was a very sedate hen do and I don't think anyone noticed or cared.
One week to testing and ether way I know I've not done anything to lower my chances this month
