Experiences of Cafcass for the Mother?

My Ex wants to take me to court over access to my LO No idea who to turn to for advice so I hope you ladies don't mind sharing your past experiences.

I was asked to go to mediation, which didn't go so well. Now they are involving Cafcass. I've been told it's all for my own wellbeing and safety but all I hear are negative reports. Can anybody give me some insight please?

May I ask why it is you don't want your Ex to have access it LO?

It's not that I don't want him to have access.. I've just tried to limit the amount so far. He wasn't around in the beginning at all and was very immature and verbally upsetting. Then he turned up one day demanding 2-3 days a week. I tried to be reasonable and said while hes getting to know him he could see him one day a week with me there, then we'd up it to two etc. So he's got angry and demanded shared rights/access. I told him no, he'd have to prove himself by starting slow as he doesnt even know him.. And he told me hes taking me to court.
