Expressing even when no milk is coming out?

Hiya ladies i really need to boost my milk supply by expressing as when my little man feeds hes always hungry after and cries/struggles when feeding him like theres not enough milk there so have been advised to express as much as poss to boost my supply....

my Q is when i express no matter what time of the day i will only get between 1/2 ounce - 2 ounces in total for both breasts - if hes sept 6 hrs and i express ill get 2ounces from one breast whilst feeding him on the other but never anymore than this...

Basically if im expressing and nothing is coming out after 5 mins or so should i carry on or is it not worth sitting expressing invisible milk??lol

I would keep pumping. I usually pump for 15 mins, even if my let down has stopped. The extra stimulation from the pump will tell your body to make more milk. There's herbs and tea you can also look into.
