Expressing- few questions!

So today I've expressed for the first time with my electric pump! LO will be three weeks old tomorrow.
So I only managed to get just over 1.5 oz of milk, which I know is pretty normal for my first time, but I have a few questions!
How much milk will LO probably take in one feed from a bottle? It's just that because you have to throw any uneaten milk away, I don't want to over fill my bottles unnecessarily.
I plan on having the odd bottle kept in the fridge for feeds on outings or for dad to give etc. Plus I would like to start building a stash for my freezer too.
How many times a day would you recommend that I pump and do I do it the same time of day each day?

If anyone has any advice on this I'd really appreciate it!

I'll be keeping an eye on this. I only managed half ounce first time and not a drop the second so not a great start.

I've started expressing so that the 10/10.30pm feed is given by bottle. I express both breasts just before this time so I don't miss a feed. I put approx 3oz (90ml) in LO's bottle, sometimes a little more because I know he'll drink it all. Put smaller amounts into your LO's bottle, you can top it up and then you're not wasting precious milk!

I'm not 100% but if you want to build up your supply or start freezing, perhaps express 2-3oz in the morning at 7am and another ounce or so at 10am ish and then express both breasts at 9.45pm...and express at the beginning of a feed.

with regards to the amount...
it goes by weight not the age of your baby!
for example.. my harry is 10lbs
double it and divide by 6
so harry susposedly drinks about 3.5ozs per feed!

which i think is about right to be honest!

I think I was told to express after every feed. It was slow to start but once I was established picked up and sometimes I could get up to 8oz. It would take over an hour though. I used to spend 9-10 pumping every night so DH could give a bottle. Ur supply is meant to be at its best in the morning though so maybe try after the first feed of the day too x
