Expressing milk

When Bub's is born I really am hoping to breast feed but OH doesnt want to miss out on feeding his son so we have talked about expressing as well as breast feeding.
Will baby get confused by having boob then bottle? Is it best to wait a while untill the breast feedings established to then give him a bottle?

Also whats the best range of bottles/equipment to use? Iv been looking at the Tommy Tippee ones, are they any good?

My LO hasn't had any problems switching from bottle to breast. However, I think all babies are different.

We use the Aventis bottles and they seem to be fine.

LO is now over 3 months and we've been giving a bottle here and there since she was about 3-4 weeks.

hello i'd give a while before giving bubs a bottle at least 2 weeks to get it established but it will take about 4 weeks for you can really Express enough for bubs, but the tommie tippiee bottle are the ones I use they are brilliant for combining but be careful as to how many bottle you give as Amelia has started to refuse the breast now and prefers the bottle!

We introduced an expressed bottle feed when Poppy was about 5 weeks for the same reason. The breastfeeding was well established and she was having no problems. We used the Tommee Tippee bottles and had no problems, until now when she point blank refuses to take a bottle at all for some reason!!

i use tommee tippee closer to nature cos they came with the sterilliser! i started expressing at about 2weeks so i could give my boobies a break and so OH could feed her, she's never had any problems, but she wont take a bottle off me cos she knows i have boobies!!
