Extra Baggage allowance for special milk?

Hi!

I'm taking my son away for a week in Gran Canaria. He is on 3 bottles a day of Paedisure (200mls each - 200g) and we need to take about 24 which is about 5 kg! His bag limit is 10 kg, and ours is 15 kg each - so we will most probably exceed our allowance. Has anyone flown taking this much milk and did you have to pay for extra baggage allowance or was it free as it is medicial? Thanks!

I would phone your airline, and phone his pediatrician to get a doctor's note in relation to his medical needs hun xxx

Thanks Hun, I spoke to the airline and they have given me extra allowance for free Also got my doctors note so I think I'm ready! x
