I just got diagnosed with Factor 2 Gene Mutation. I gave birth to two, healthy boys via home birth with no issues. I am pregnant with #3 and just found out about this clotting disorder. My RE wants me on Lovenox, contacted my GP and she was unsure so sending in a referral to a Hematologist to get a risk assessment. I'm unsure what to do... am I high risk? Am I putting my baby at risk by not taking the meds until I learn more from a specialist? Can I still achieve a home birth? I see my home birth midwife next week and will ask her if she has any clue. I'd love success stories, treatment plans, anything!!

Do I need to contact a high risk OB?
