So I have GD, and normally baby girl is super active all the time. This morning she has barely moved at all. Her heart rate was fine, but almost zero movement, even after cold water, apple juice, and poking her to make her grumpy. Nothing.

So they're sending me for an ultrasound at noon. It's been two hours later and I still haven't really felt her move very much. A shift every so often very very lightly but abnormally silent all day.

Any idea why a baby might just not move at all suddenly? Other than being sleepy and lazy? I'd be more worried if her heart rate hadn't been totally normal. But I'm wondering how likely it is I'll end up at the hospital this afternoon vs. just being sent home because my baby is being pokey.

Hopefully you've had your scan now and some answers but I do find my little one has horribly quiet days. I've ended up in hospital for monitoring twice now as I've barely felt a thing for a good part of the day. The heartbeat has always been fine but she has been quiet movement wise on the monitor. Both times they kept me hooked up for quite a while until they saw evidence of some movement and her heart rate going up when she did move. I have no idea why she does it, most days she doesn't keep still! But I've had an extra scan, all is fine, no concerns at all. I assume she's just tired and growing or something on those days! Very worrying though.. hope all is well for you!

Not had any problems with movement this pregnancy, but I am only 30 weeks, so early days yet as far as movement is concerned.
However, with my first two, I went in for monitoring a couple of days because I was worried about lack of movement. I would try all the tricks, cold drinks, hot drinks, poking etc, but nothing seemed to work. Every time they were fine, just having a lazy day.

Always always go and get checked out though, lack of movement can be a signal something is not right, however 99% of the time, you will be checked over and sent on your way.

Went for my scan and the baby is just apparently lazy today! Right now of course she's using my organs as punching bags and river dancing all over the place. This morning though she was having none of it.

Kids...lol

So glad everything was good! I went in for monitoring twice this last pregnancy, better to be safe! The last time even though he was huge, some of the movements that got picked up on the monitor I still couldn't feel, and then suddenly he was making waves with my belly again.. must have been a slight position change  It happens a lot!
