False negative on day period due?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anybody has had a false negative the day your period was due?

I'm always regular, frequently a day early. And this is our 4th month trying for #1

Hi Starlight

I only tested positive 4 days after af was due. I have heard of it happening but mostly it's when ladies have calculated their ov dates wrong. I knew my ov date exactly because of temping and I had a progesterone test. But what happened to me isn't normal - I m/c at 8 weeks. I know in the "old days" ladies were advised to wait a week before testing, but now tests are so sensitive that even very low hcg levels are picked up. Good luck!

I haven't tested today (fed up with the negatives), still no AF..

Can you remember the sensitivity of your pregnancy tests?

Thanks Starlight. Not knowing is so hard... sometimes it's easier if AF just shows up and lets you know where you are at! The tests I used showed positive at 20 mIU/ml. If you have another perhaps try tomorrow with FMU?

I have also used 20 mIU/ml and always used FMU for all tests.

In a way I don't want to test again to avoid any disappointment! I'm just waiting for AF.. this is the first time I'm late!
