Family Courts?

I just wanted to ask for experiences of the family court system.

Just a few questions..

what forms do you have to fill in?

how long does it take for an initial hearing?

how long does it tend to last?

do child welfare always get involved?

I don't know the answers to most or these as I've had no experience myself. I have two friends who have been and they've had a social worker involved.
