My son is 7 months old and has been breastfed from birth, he has refused all bottles and screams blue murder if i/or my husband try to give him one. We are trying to introduce a bedtime cup of formula and he takes a little bit of it but he then seems to get a bit annoyed and wont take anymore. we're currently using a tommee tippee 'my first cup' which is free flow. I'm looking for a faster flowing sippy cup as i think if he can get the milk quicker he may get a bit less annoyed. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure of they do 'fast flow' sippy cups but I've never really looked so I apologise if I'm wrong. I just assumed that the free flow ones would be the 'fastest' so babies don't choke on there water ect.

Have you tried trainer cups with soft spouts? Ano there not recommended but as he's only 7 months I can't see it being a problem.

Sorry for not being much help.

When i was introducing a sippy cup i bought a soft spout one and sliced a little pin hole in it (so when it tipped up drops of water came out even with out sucking).. i did this with both my kids..

My son is almost 10 months and has been practicing with a sippy cup since 6 months and he still hasn't quite gotten the hang of it. It's a hard skill that will probably take a bit of time to master. We have one of every type of sippy cup ever made and I've found the faster flow ones overwhelm him a bit, and he ends up just soaking wet. The soft spout ones are not much better tbh, but they are a bit easier for him. Either way, it will just take a little time, but he will get it.

Tommy Tippy does make excellent sippy cups though. Those are my favorite right now as they are a bit easier for him to hold. I definitely recommend the ones with the handles on the side.

My LO is the same. Refuses bottles completely and screams! However he does well with these sippy cups... Tommee Tippie Explora and Gerber brand if you can find it there. I've only given him water and a little juice because he does spill a good bit when he is playing around. He likes to shake and splash them now.
