Faster nursing sessions without nipple shield?

I was wondering if anyone had experience weaning off a nipple shield. My girl is 3 months old and we have successfully got off the nipple shield. But now I notice it takes maybe 5 or 10 mins for her to eat! She seems super happy and normal after she eats. Do babies eat faster when the nipple shield is taken away??
