What are your favourite Christmas movies?

My all time favourite is Santa Claus the Movie :xmas9:

I defiantly agree with you!!.

I also love watching The Muppets Christmas Carol x

Ooh I love this thread. So many to choose from but think my top three would be:

The Holiday
Polar Express
Elf

Miracle on 34th street, but not the original, the 1994 version with the girl who also starred in Matilda! X

For me as an adult;

Love actually
The holiday
The family stone
Bad Santa

For a family;

Polar express
The grinch
Home alone 1&2
Arthur Christmas

And I love all the cheeses made for TV Christmas films you get on true Christmas and Christmas 24

My favs are Home Alone (going to go see it at the symphony orchestra this year :)
Home Alone 2
The Holiday
Christmas Story
Elf
Polar Express
Miracle on 34th St
Jack Frost

Ooh I forgot about bad santa. Love that fiilm, it's hilarious

Muppets Christmas carol.

It still annoys me to this day that my DVD has a song cut out that was on my original video I had years ago.

The Grinch
Elf
Christmas with the Kranks
A Christmas Carol
Holiday Inn
A Wonderful Life
I really do love pretty much any Christmas film though!

To watch with the boys..
Polar Express (DS1 was fully obsessed with trains for a good couple of years between the age of 1-3; we watched this soooooo much!)
Arthur Christmas (just love how it explains Santa being able to visit everyone :) )
The Grinch
Disney's A Christmas Carol

And then I always watch these ones whilst doing my wrapping...
Love Actually
The Holiday
Four Christmases
Elf

Home Alone 1&2
The Polar Express
The Grinch
Elf
The Santa Claus

The Santa Claus films!

Love Actually
Elf
The Santa Clause
Home Alone
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
It's A Wonderful Life

And for whatever reason my LO is obsessed with Christmas with the Kranks, she watched it at least ten times last year all the way into spring. :haha:

I'll also watch any and every made for TV movie, I love the Christmas cheesiness.

Home Alone 1 and 2
Santa Clause
Miracle on 34th Street

I need a DVD for our Christmas Eve box. My girls aren't good with long films but I don't want peppa pig/Ben and holly type dvds either. Any suggestions on a shortish christmas film??

White Christmas
It's a Wonderful Life
The Shop Around the Corner
Meet Me in St Louis (not strictly a Christmas film, but has a lovely Christmas scene)
Muppet's Christmas Carol
Scrooge (Alastair Sim)
Miracle on 34th Street (the original, find the newer version too saccharine)
The Bishop's Wife

Also have a soft-spot for those awful, channel 5 made for TV movies

PP, what about the Raymond Briggs cartoons? Father Christmas, The Snowman, The Snowman and the Snowdog? They're all quite short, my son adores Father Christmas, we watched it loads last year.

Omg there's so many!

Home Alone 1 & 2
It's a Wonderful Life
The Nightmare before Christmas
Santa Claus the movie
The Santa Clause
Elf
A Muppet Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol (starring Albert Finney)

I really like some of the made for TV ones on True Christmas channel, especially The Christmas Shoes

Can't believe i forgot
The Polar Express
Arthur Christmas
Scrooged
Miracle on 34th Street

There are too many favourites to choose from
Elf, the santa clause, muppets Christmas Carol, santa who are probably top of my list
