Feel like a bad breastfeeding mum...

My LO is 5 weeks on Wednesday...

She's been feeding ok, put plenty of weight on etc

But she gets so upset when she tries to comfort suck and gets milk, my let down is ridiculous and my breasts never empty! At night this can cause her to scream in frustration. I offer her the breast which calms her till she feels the milk again and gets upset!

My first LO refused a dummy, only mummy would do but thus one doesn't want me!

I've just given her a dummy for the first time... She's gone straight to sleep!

I feel so bad but she seems so happy!

She will still cry if she's hungry won't she????

Dont feel bad!! Dummies are great! Happy baby, happy mummy - Sometimes u just gotta do whatever works.

She will let u know when she wants milk and not just to comfort suck.

Cut yourself some slack. U sound like a brilliant mummy to me x

Don't feel bad! DD1 was the same, wanted to suck at the end of a feed but was not happy milk was still coming out (I found out by sticking my finger in her mouth and she promptly fell asleep happy). After that I gave her a dummy when I felt she just wanted to suck and she was much happier!
