My blocked duct has turned to flow blown mastisis, im in agony, Scott wont feed from the infected side so I am pumping during or after each feed, but im trying to get him on that side during the night but its kills. Just seems like he's feeding ALL the time, is it because he's only feeding on the left (advice from doc). Plus i havent got the energy to do anything, aching all over and high temp. Its the first time since my cracked nipples i thought of trying formula as a top up, but i think that would mess with my supply?!

Im on my 3rd course of anti b's anyone had mastisis for this length of time (4 weeks), the pumping is also getting me down so time consuming

Sounds nasty hun. I don't know if the formula would mess with your supply if you're feeding from the left and pumping from the right. Like, you could feed from the left and then top up with formula when he would normally have the right breast. Like Theakston will normally have 10-20mins on one, then a winding and a change and then about 5mins on the other, so perhaps give him the breast for the main feed and then just give him a small amount of formula after, but pump the other breast whilst he's feeding.
