My friend asked me to babysit her toddler for a couple of hours until her husband got back from work. But my husband is texting me saying my toddler is screaming the house down for me :-(. She has been a bit clingy recently but DH has always been able to put her to bed :-( just feel like a crappy mummy right now...sorry for the moan!

I guess it's pretty late there but you didn't think they would want to play together? I usually take DD with me when I take care of her friends for a bit and they play well together.

I promise she'll be ok hun-- I know that doesn't help you now :hugs:

Just remember this is but a blip on the radar of her life and you'll be home soon!

My DD was like that with my DH. She saw me go so she kept running to the front door shouting for mummy with tears in her eyes. She will calm down eventually. The next time I left her she was completely fine. Maybe you could get him to do bedtime every now and again so she gets more used to it? I sometimes do the weekly shop while he puts DD to bed. It gets me out the house and forces him to do what daddies should do instead of sitting there staring at his laptop! You'll be home soon and can give her some lovely cuddles if she's still up. She won't come to any harm, she's safe in her own home with her daddy.

Thanks ladies. Sherylb - no it was both their bedtimes, but we have done that before.
She eventually fell asleep on him downstairs and eventually he got her in the cot an hr later. She seems fine today :)
