Feeling Sad!

Been BF Olivia for 16 days now, however shes a really good feeder but after getting some bad advice from the hospital midwives, I have been struggling with cracked nipples and the pain has been terrible.

Have been gettin help from the HV but she was still managing to hurt me, HV thinks Olivia is lazy with her top lip and her gum slowly falls onto my nipple when feeding as I have the same crack on each nipple.

I am feeling pretty down today though as in the last 7 days or so she hasnt put on any weight and I am feeling like I will have to give up BF as it isnt enough for her!

i had really bad cracked and bleeding nipples for the first couple of weeks hon, i used tonnes of Lanisoh cream and they just cleared up over a couple of days and had no problems since xx

make sure baby is latched on with a good mouthfull of your boob, sorry can't be of more help about a lazy top lip not sure about that xx

as long as baby is having plenty of wet nappies and is settled then your giving her plenty of milk you have to trust those boobies x

its pretty tough those first weeks but it just gets better all of a sudden xxx

Has she been checked for tongue tie??

I have no idea, she was checked over before leaving the hospital!

They dont generally look for tongue tie.
