Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Have been trying to conceive for about two years and have just started hospital appointments. They think I have pcos but going for my second appointment soon where my partner gets his sperm results back and I am having a scan to see if It is that. They talked about having clomid in my last appointment. Been waiting 5 weeks to get these last results and find the whole thing stressful!
I know there are loads of people who have been trying longer but I guess I just wanted to hear from people in a similar position. Recently I have just got so down in dumps everyone seems to be pregnant around me after trying for hardly any time at all. I am so emotional I keep taking it out on my partner and just feel so overwhelmed by everything! Am finding it so hard to stay positive!

Hi there
Welcome to the LTTC forum. I know how you feel and hope that you will feel more positive soon. I wish you all the best luck with finding out what the problem is so that you can start a treatment. If you do have PCOS a low carb diet helps many women get pregnant.
All the best wishes,
Amber (ttc almost 5 years)

I would say the main thing to remember is to never give up hope.

It is very stressful when you become long term and have to deal with doctors, schedules etc. Takes all the fun out of things.

My FS put me on Clomid when I went back to discuss results and options. The six month didn't work for me so I am now waiting for injections and continuing with the Clomid in the mean time (I don't ovulate or have periods so at least the Clomid is giving me a fighting chance).

I know what you mean about everyone being pregnant. My cousin was about to have her first when we started and she is nearly at the end of pregnancy number 4 (sadly number 3 was a miscarriage). My cousin and sister (who both swore they would not have children till they were 30) both 'accidently' got pregnant and have beautiful daughters. Then there are all the friends. Lol.

Good luck. Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? X

Its very stressful and really difficult to be strong and positive when you keep getting either bad news or BFN's. You need to focus on your goal and try to think about the beautiful healthy baby you will have in your arms. xx
