I feel like I have had a few down days since the weekend and I cant shake it off :hissy:
We have been ttc for 14 months now, after my oh had a reversal. I dont have any children of my own.
First there was a girls night out, inwhich I tried to explain our progress of ttc to my friends, who of course are all sympathetic but really dont understand how difficult it is wanting a baby and not being able to conceive.
Then there was fathers day, I did quite a good job of not letting it get to me too much but felt like a good cry. Wished my oh could of been abit more sensitive towards me and understood how hard it was without me having to actually spell it out!!
Then I turned in to a bitch from hell on Monday and just wanted to be left alone.
And tonight, turning the telly over to watch Eastenders- the intro was 'how will Jack feel about becoming a dad?' my oh said 'well he already is! It felt a bit like a kick in the teeth:help:
I know im taking things way too much to heart, but in our situation, it hurts :hissy:
Im sorry for moaning, I just needed to get it off my chest!

Hi obe, just wanted to say I know exactly how you feel. It's really hard sometimes isn't it. Myself and my DH have been trying about the same amount of time - to be honest I've decided to stop counting months/ cycles as it was getting me down. I know when we started trying - and that was last April - so it doesn't take a genius to work it out, but I just can't face cycle-counting anymore!

In this time I've had five friends/ relatives become pregnant, one of whom has already had the baby. As much as I'm pleased for them it makes me so sad that it hasn't happened for me and DH yet, as we want it so much. Sometimes things REALLY hurt, like when a friend told me she'd taken the morning after pill and still got pregnant. As much as I'm sure she'll love her child (and I'm sure she already does as she's now used to the idea) it made me wonder how this can happen when we're actually TRYING so hard!

Most of my friends know we're TTC and as much as they try to help, they still come out with the usual comments 'it's because you're thinking about it too much', 'it will happen when you least expect it' etc. I love them, they're my friends, but in a way it still hurts.

I just wanted to say I understand what you're feeling. It's ok to feel angry/ sad/ down about it sometimes - that's normal. As much as I can I try to see things on the positive side and tell myself that maybe we're 'meant to' have a baby at a certain time, and for now we're supposed to have fun trying - who knows how these things work?

Try to keep positive and I'm sure you'll get your :baby: really soon.

Thanks peekaboo,
Its all very hard work trying to be happy for everyone else and not show how hurt you are. Its really not easy, but for people who arnt in the same situation as us they cant possibly understand.
I have a friend who used a condom - which split, and then went for the morning after pill and still fell pregnant! How can it be so easy so some??!!
Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it

Hi girls, I completely understand how you feel, my DH and I have been TTC for 18 months and this month we are completely having a break from "trying" I've not taken my clomid this month, I wanted a complete break so I can get focussed again next month, no charting, temping or anything and it actually feels good to have a break from it all!
It can be so stressful and upsetting, especially like you say, when people seem to be announcing they're pregnant left right and centre. A friend at work announced she was pregnant in January and had just had the baby, I was so jealous, even though I was happy for her, but it was so hard seeing her and her bump every day. After putting everything in to perspective and taking a break, I now feel a lot more positive that maybe I'm just one of those people who has to wait a little longer for their bundle! :baby:
Good luck and baby dust to you!

xx
