Felt left side pain on CD 12...too early to ovulate?

I've been reading about ovulation and trying to figure out my cycle exactly. I felt a sharp pain/twinge-like feeling on my left side (and later, right side too) on CD 12 in the morning. We bd'ed around 6-7 that night with Preseed, so if my egg was released, I think we're ok.

But isn't CD 12 really early to ovulate??

I wouldn't say it's too early to ovulate... are you using OPKs for confirmation? x

no one can really say if its too early or too late, we are all different!
CD12 isnt particularly early... i normally ovulate around CD 13 or 14, so your pretty much in the "normal" range id say. But as McMummy said, start using OPK's so you know for sure, makes it a tonne less confusing, if they work for you!

Yes, I've been using OPK's with FMU and in the afternoon. All negative, but I haven't used them long, so I don't know if I'm hitting the right time. Still getting used to them....I have the same pain still today and the line was darker yesterday than before, so maybe O is coming? Hopefully, I'd hate to have missed it!

I've read the best time for OPK readings are 2pm-6pm.... FMU has too many toxins etc and can mask the LH hormone.

Post pics of OPKS if you can & we can take a look at them?
Weird I know haha asking to see a stick someone pee'd on but def helps to get a 2nd opinion especially if you're new to OPKs xx

thats definatly not too early i ov day10_11 every month the earier the better as you have more chance of a longer lp which is vital when ttc dont forget when you have a pos opk you ovulate 24_36 hrs after the lh surge good luck lots of

I had those pains on CD 12, but no pos OPK yet. So, no ovulation I'm guessing, unless I just totally missed the mark with the tests. We've been bd'ing every other day since the pain, so I hope I get the right day in there somewhere!

If this month is a wash, I'll definitely post pics of my sticks next time. I've thrown all mine away so far.

You get a positive OPK before u ovulate.... so u would have got positives on the CD 10 and CD 11... if u ovulated on CD12..
Also your egg is only viable for, I think 24 hours after you ovulate... you really need to BD beforehand and make sure the sperm is waiting for the egg to come down...
