Well received a nice letter from Ferring Pharma stating that certain lots of Bravelle "did not meet potency requirements" and that I'm entitled for a full refund of the drug. While I'll gladly take my $3000 back, I can't help but wonder if this meant the difference between success and failure. My September IVF resulted in a miscarriage, but I didn't have any more embryos left to freeze. I had 7 follicles and only 3 eggs retrieved. Only 2 viable enough to fertilize that went on to be embryos. Had the drugs been stronger... could I have had more eggs? We'll never know.
Really wish I could sue them for the cost of the treatment and then some, but I don't think I'll be so lucky: https://www.law360.com/articles/714717/ferring-s-muted-fertility-drug-recall-falls-within-fda-rules
Anyone else affected by this?
