Fertility specialist/clinic North East

Hi,

Anyone know a decent fertility clinic/specialist in the North East? We live between Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
My doc is referring us on, but said it could be up to 18 weeks from referral before we see anyone, which I'm not sure I could stand! So we're considering going private if we can afford it.

Having 21 day bloods next Monday

Hi! I'm being seen at the centre for life in Newcastle, where I think you can also be seen privately! They have been really good with me!
I have to say tho, from the original referral from my gp I had an appointment with the cfl within 6 weeks and started on clomid straight away!
I was also offered ivf first visit too which I was v suprised about! If u can wait I'm
sure it won't be 18 weeks, esp if you did get referred to cfl! They cover all of the NE!

I go to James Cook - theyre really good it wasnt too long to be seen for me - defo under 18 weeks - people cancel their appointments all the time cos of bfps etc so you can have an app and then suddenly its brought forward a few weeks as a slot has become available! (maybe youll get mine )

I'm at James Cook on NHS and I have to say I'm really impressed with them so far! Lovely staff - just had my HSG and they really put me at my ease.

Aw thankd Venus. Yes it definitely helps to know 2 of you have positive things to say there.
Have you had to wait long for referrals and appts etc?

the radiographers who do the hsg were Lovely! we were referred in jan had our 1st app in feb had sperm tests and blood tests done etc had HSG done in april and got clomid (but didnt take it) and got bfp that cycle - unfortimately was mmc, started clomid and am bfp again

so a lot in 9 months hope that helps! I have fiona bryce
