I am currently 33w+4d, last week had signs of preterm labor, was given injections to stop the contractions. Today went to dr n did test which returned positive! She said it meant I could go into labor within the next 2 weeks! any1 have any experiences with this, or know anything of it! Trying to do all my reading n research but would love to hear from any1!! Thanks in advance

i had this test done twice and they were both negative but the doctor told me that if it were to come back positive that means that there is a chance you could go into labor within 2 weeks, BUT it's only a chance and does not mean you will. try to rest up and do what you can to keep that baby inside :)

i was also given injections to stop contractions starting at 32 weeks and was given pills to take. at first they told me to take them whenever i felt contractions starting. then when that didn't work i had to take them every 6hrs.

i made it to 38 weeks and ended up being induced because how much water i was retaining.

back to your question after i went OT lol it doesnt necessarily mean you will go into labor soon!

I had a 27 weeker in my first pregnancy so i was well monitored the second time and we used FFN tests this time. I had at least four positives from 22 weeks, I went to 40 weeks in the end. The negatives are more realible, the positives arent so.

Again they arent too reliable without a follow up scan of cervical length.
