Fibroids; need help!

i posted this in the ttc forum but i know some of you ladies don't go in there...I hope someone has some info, please!!!

Just curious if anyone has fibroids and what size and if you have had surgery? Mine is 46mm or 4.6 cm and is transmural and in the anterior of uterus. I'm thinking that i need surgery but the dr's keep saying that it doesn't pose a risk of ttc. Any info you have would be great, thanks.

I have 5 intramural fibroids, they range from 1cm - 3cm and I have also been told I don't need surgery. I think mine are anterior too.

The size is less of an issue as such, what's most important is that
a) they are not impinging or distorting the endometrium, this can affect implantation.
b) you still have good peripheral blood flow, this can be seen on a colour dopple U/S.

I have had a hysteroscopy (I also had some irregular bleeding that needed checking) which confirmed the HSG and ultrasound imaging that my fibroids are not (yet!) distorting my endometrium.

The surgery to resect the uterus after removal of an intramural fibroid is very invasive and a long recovery - I hope we both don't need it!

thanks for your reply! I have had many ultrasounds and an HSG and they say that it the fibroid is not on my lining but i do not know if it goes into the uterus. I do know that my uterus is slightly larger than it should be. Probably from the fibroid, idk? I guess its better to not get the surgery but i just fear that i'm wasting too much time.
