Ok there is a question on the ssmg form that says something like are you recieving child tax at the higher family element of £548 or something about over £1k ... to which has totally confused me.. so i dont know what i'm ticking now .

I've heard people on here say they get something like £547.50 & are not entitled to it, So does that mean the more child tax your on the less income you have coming in or somert .. i'm well confused.

I know i'm entitled to the grant but dont wanna tick the wrong option... why cant they write things in english simple mans terms :dohh:

If you are getting more than £548 tax credit, then you are getting more than the family element. The lower your income, the more tax credits you get. I think it's if you get the "Child Element" then you are entitled to the grant, well thats what I worked it out on anyway and I got it :).
