Finally at the top of the Injection Waiting List at RFC

Just got off the phone to my Fertility Centre.

Wednesday November 9th, 2011 I was placed on the waiting list for injections. I was advised it would be nine months.

It's now 11 months later so I called to see what was happening. There is actually a letter ready to come out to me with my appointment time. Exactly 52 weeks later I get to see the doctor Wednesday November 8th, 2012 and 07:30am.

The day before is my 26th birthday and that very day is my fourth wedding anniversary. Looks like I'm not going to be celebrating my birthday as I originally wanted - Mexican themed party with Mexican food and plenty of Margaritas and Tequila.

I know I should be pleased that I finally have an appointment but I can't help but feel that they give you these appointments just to screw with your life. I mean, it says on file when my birthday is!

Ah well. At least I go the appointment. My hubby has said we can celebrate our Wedding Anniversary on the 7th as it was going to be a quiet affair, just us two, bottle of wine and he was cooking - a treat in itself, and celebrate my birthday on the 8th. Don't think it would appropriate to turn up at the appointment stinking of booze and hungover. Lol.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read my rant. Now I have got that off my chest I can start getting nervous and excited about my appointment like always. Hopefully, the injections will work. First month would be great as I am petrified of needles. Lol.

Is this the nhs waiting list? How long were you on the list before you got the letter telling you to start taking the pill? Im trying to work out how long I'll be waiting & whether or not to fit in a private cycle while I am waiting.

Do you know what your protocol is yet?

I think they are to help me ovulate. Not sure, it's been that long since I was last there. Lol.

Yea it was NHS. I went on the waiting list November 10th last year. I haven't got the letter confirming the appointment yet, I only know when it is because I called on Monday inquiring.

Apparently the waiting list is 14 months now.

The Pill? Sounds a little contradicting. Lol. I was told to continue on Clomid through whilst waiting to ensure I have cycles as I don't without them. Crazy thing is, AF is due that day too.

Hi , I went on the NHS waiting list on 2nd march 2012 and i got a letter saying we were on top list and to go for app for bloods etc on the 6th october 2012 our appointment was on the 23rd november just to await AF to arrive which my cycles aren't regular because of my PCOS which has been from 32 days to 75 days so if its not here within a week of when its dur to arrive i've to phone up and they have to make the decision of what to do. But if it does i've to take the pill on the first day and send off a for with my cycle dates and the date i took took etc. then they will send us out a schedule. so that will be on tuesday i have to phone.. the one time u want it to come it doesn't grr.

Princess lou , If you don't mind me asking why you have to go to IVF? is it male factor?

I'm not going for IVF yet. If the injections don't work then that's the next step.

I'm on Goal-F injections.

The problems we are having all lie with me. Hubby has 'super sperm'.
