Finally Did It!

So I've been nursing my LO for 6 months now. (wow!) And up until now, I've never NIP. I always took a bottle of expressed milk with me when we were out, or I hid in the back of my jeep, or used an extra room at other houses.

Then I decided that I was tired of trying to find places to warm his milk up, and trying to maneuver in the back of my vehicle when running errands, or just rushing so I could get home in time to feed him. So I used my nursing cover, and nursed him in the little restaurant we were sitting at. And I discovered that I wasn't even the teensiest little bit self conscious about it! Mommy instinct took over. lol

I just had to share with other people who would understand. That's all.

Well done the thought of NIP is often worse than actually doing it, good on you for giving it a go and I'm delighted it was a good experience for you.

Thanks! No one else in my family has breastfed past the first week or two, so it was a major accomplishment for me! Mostly it was a lack of information and support for them. If I hadn't found this forum, I probably wouldn't have made it either! I gained so much knowledge reading all the posts here, and I gathered most of my courage to NIP from the other ladies! I wish all new mothers could join here and have this kind of support!
