Our baby boy was born tues Aug. 20th...
Had my 39 week appointment on Mon. 19th... I was 4.5 cm and 80% effaced and ob gave me my second sweep... Tuesday morning I woke up just fine and husband left for work at 5:45 am! Contractions started at 6am right about 5 mins apart... I called him home at 6:45am... by the time he came home and we dropped off our other two kids at the inlaws it was 8 am and contractions were VERY intense and 2 mins apart! Arrived at the hospital at 8:15, I was 6+ they put my IV in for fluids cause I so wanted an epidural! It took maybe 5 mins and I was checked again 8 1/2-9cm... I became so upset and cried because I couldn't have ANYTHING for pain relief! Then after 2. Contractions I calmed down and changed my mind set to ' I can do this!!!' No choice! I pushed for about 10-15mins he was back to back and facing side ways! His heartrate was dropping for 15 mins and she had to use the vacuum to help get him out quicker
...he did had cord wrapped around his neck also... he was born at 9:21am 7lbs 18 1/2 inches long... I can't believe my labor was 3 hours ... im glad it was fast though since it was unmedicated... but all so worth it!
Baby boy is healthy and oh so snuggly! And his siblings are so in love with him!
