I just had my son, Jakub Alexander Darius on March 21st @ 4:55am. I was so scared for the labour!
My last experience with labour was horrid with my dear daughter. It was 52hrs of labour, on top of that, I had a spinal leakage & soon after, a gallbladder surgery (because of the long hard labour). Oh boy...
I had an induction date set up for March 20th. I got a call from the hospital, to arrive for my induction appointment at 6pm. I was 39 + 4 days along. I came to the hospital with my DH. I remember feeling that I want to quickly get it over with it, lol! At the same time, very scared. I went in for the assessment, the nurse checked my blood pressure which was high (that was the reason for the induction) & I changed into the hospital gown. My OB came at around 9pm to break my water. This was the first time, I felt warm tingling water bursting out! I don't remember this with my first labour.
The nurse took me & my DH to the delivery room. I was still leaking. Soon after, I was hooked on oxytocin drip. It was around 1am, I started to feel strong contractions coming in. I asked for epidural as my contractions were getting very intense. The epi only worked on my right side but not the left side. The doctor had to start over with epi (ouchie!), he was shifting the needle in my back & later, started over again because I was still feeling the left side & my right I couldn't feel my leg. At around 4am, the nurse checked for my cervix, it was dilated to 9.5cm. I was quite impressed! The nurse later checked at around 4:30am, it was time for push! The push took about 10 minutes & she quickly yelled for the OB to arrive because my son's head was out. She asked me to hold it The OB came running & my son just flew out @4:55am lol! With lots of hair. He pouted his lips out, making a sad puppy face. My DH said, woah looks like our daughter! lol
My son weighs 7lbs & 2oz (3.25gm) & 53cm long. He is slightly smaller then my daughter was, 8lbs & 54cm long. My labour with him was about 6 hours!! comparing to my daughter's 52 hours!! Isn't it crazy?? lol I guess... life is full of surprises!
We are very much in love with him
He is such a good baby so far, quiet & his cries are so cute too! I love his pouty faces that he make, they melt our hearts. My daughter is in love with him.
