finally picked our venue :D

sorry ladies if this is a point less thread.. but im just soooo excited
we went to a show case today and it was perfect.. they had the colours we wanted.. they were lovely
even oh was convinced this is the place..
its quite expensive tho 5,000 for 100 people cuz oh has a huge family....

so im putting down my deposit in 4 weeks anyone else just recently picked there venue for reception?

it feels like were finally able to plan our wedding

I got my invited from ebay,she sends you a sample with the colours and wording that you want and then you order.

you can have any colours too and they are really beautiful x

We have confirmed our venue booking today! Yay! As for invites, we got all the materials we wanted off of ebay and are making them ourselves, it's so much cheaper!

Yeh well we just searched ebay for everything we wanted, so we got A5 hammered ivory card and envelopes, purple ribbon, ivory ribbon, purple wired roses to stick on and we got some silver 'wedding invitation' stickers and glue from an art shop. Then we are going to print off the wording for the insides on oridnary paper and stick it in. We've done the same for our save the date cards, just got some A6 card, put it through the printer and stuck some purple bows on them!

A standard way of wording save the dates are:

[Your name] and [Fiances name]
Are getting married
on [dd/mm/yyyy]
at [Venue]
and would love you to be there.

Please keep the date free.

thanks have u sent your save the date cards already.. my wedding is not till 2012.. b
which really isnt that long away.. but is it too far for save the dates.. maybe ill wait till next year...
