It has been a long road for my husband and I. We have had 2 previous miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. After being treated for the ectopic pregnancy, we had such difficulty conceiving. We decided to seek a second opinion with a different doctor, and this doctor is amazing. She sent me for a lot of blood testing and we planned a few more tests. Some of my blood results came back pretty odd, so they recommended I take a home pregnancy test before retesting. My period was actually due the next day so it was close enough to test, it was positive!!!
A positive pregnancy test is so bittersweet. Obviously we are both very happy and excited. But we are scared and nervous too. Everytime I use the restroom, I brace myself to see blood.*
But already this pregnancy is a little different than those before. During my previous pregnancies, I barely even felt pregnant, I didn't get sick or anything. This time, my boobs are incredibly sore. And I have yet to need to vomit, but I get nauseous if my stomach is the slightest bit empty. I seem to constantly be eating just to settle my stomach. Any tips on small healthy snacks?
I am hoping these are good sign.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
